The participating attorney agrees to grant Referral Service clients an initial consultation of up to a half-hour for a fee of $30.

THE ECBA LRIS provides legal assistance in these and other areas of law: adoption, child custody, consumer law, DUI, guardianship, real estate, unemployment compensation, bankruptcy, child support, criminal law, emancipation, personal injury, social security, wills, estates, and trusts, business law, commercial law, divorce, family law, professional malpractice, taxation, and workers’ compensation. The initial 30-minute consultation fee is $45, unless the client is seeking an attorney for a personal injury, workers’ compensation, medical malpractice, or social security case. The Bar Association of Lehigh County (BALC) Lawyer Referral Service (LRS) refers clients to attorneys who best fit their legal needs. There is a $25 non-refundable fee for the initial 30-minute consultation. The Bar Association of Lehigh County and Lawyer Referral Service is now offering legal services at a substantially reduced rate to clients who call within the financial guidelines of the Modest Means Program. The MMP is designed for clients who do not qualify for legal aid, but cannot afford an attorney at regular attorney fees. If a client qualifies, they will be referred to an attorney who is a member of the program and will receive representation or have documents prepared at a reduced rate.
