A restraining order or protective order is a legal order issued by a state court which requires one person to stop harming another. In Nebraska, there are several types of orders explained below.

A civil order that provides protection from harm by a family or household member, including former or current dating partners.
- Harassment and Harassment Orders
If you do not qualify for a domestic violence protection order you may be able to get a Harassment Order.
- Moving to Another State with a NE Protection Order
Your NE Protection Order may be enforceable wherever you move.
- Enforcing an Out-of-State Order in NE
If you are planning to move to NE or are going to be in NE for any reason, your protection or restraining order may be enforced.
