SAFE Project supports survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, stalking, and family violence. Emergency services include: a 24-hour hotline, shelter (pets may be sheltered with owners), food and household supplies, transportation, crisis counseling, safety planning, child/baby items, clothing, and financial aid. Safety services include: lock changes, safety plans, cell phone, online safety, a private P.O. box, and help with filing protection orders. Legal assistance offered for: attorney referrals, victims’ compensation, reporting with law enforcement, getting police report, court and police accompaniment, and financial aid for attorney fees. Services also available in the following areas: physical and mental health, children’s needs, housing, employment, and prevention and outreach programs. SAFE Project serves Albany County.
