Daybreak Shelter provides options for victims who wish to escape violent relationships and homes, and recognize that every person and situation is different. The shelter facility is in an undisclosed location to protect participants and their children. Daybreak has also expanded to include out-of-shelter services such as court advocacy, education and outreach, and limited financial assistance. Serving victims of domestic violence in Walker County.

Safeplace - Winston
Safeplace provides services to six mostly rural counties Lauderdale,Colbert,Lawrence,Franklin,Marion, Winston. Offering a 24-hr help line, case management, safety planning, children’s services, court advocacy, emergency shelter, supportive and transitional housing. Safeplace is able to provide assistance to Spanish speaking victims of abuse. Hispanic liaisons provide case management, court advocacy and personal advocacy. All informational materials have been translated into Spanish. Safeplace also has a pool of Spanish speaking volunteers to help families in need.
